Miss Lee

Known for their Chinese plant-based creations, Miss Lee is no stranger to creating beautiful vegan afternoon teas. Their vegan afternoon tea set comes at a good price with even better treats including a beetroot tart, mango salsa pastry, pumpkin pancake and pickled cauliflower cracker. The set also comes with coffee or tea.

The Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong

A popular spot for afternoon tea, the Four Seasons Hong Kong offers a vegan afternoon tea set which includes tomato with quinoa, purple potato with guacamole and mango and asparagus sandwich. Finish off with some vegan chocolate truffle cake, caramelised grilled pineapple, soya milk agar jelly with mango compote, strawberry with gold leaf on vegan biscuit and the hotel’s famous scones.

British brand Fortnum & Mason has been serving afternoon tea for centuries, so you know you’re in good hands. Their vegan afternoon tea menu consists of five sandwiches, including pickled celeriac with kale pesto, grilled courgettes with artichoke and root vegetable hummus, as well as scones and a selection of individual afternoon tea cakes. Talk about luxury!
Price: HK$588 per person. Add a glass of champagne for an extra HK$100.

The Clipper Lounge at Mandarin Oriental

The vegan afternoon tea at Mandarin Oriental’s Clipper Lounge features four sandwiches, including tomato and pesto bruschetta and avocado and cherry tomato, a roasted pumpkin filo tart and six desserts, including mango sticky rice pudding, apple filo tart and soy pudding with raspberry compote.

Over on the Kowloon side, Cordis has been championing plant-based eating at all is venues. For afternoon tea, they have a dedicated vegan afternoon tea set, which includes savoury treats such as plant-based tacos and teriyaki glazed tempeh, while sweet treats include sourdough crumpets, Mandarin yuzu pudding and white peach jelly.

The Peninsula is arguably Hong Kong’s most famous venue for afternoon tea and for good reason. Their vegan afternoon tea menu includes savoury treats including green pea purée with mint, tarts with beetroot hummus and crispy rice, and soy milk panna cotta with mango compote and chestnut layer cakes for desserts.
