It’s an exciting week ahead in Hong Kong, with dinner restrictions being lifted on Thursday, 21 April and Earth Day being the very next day (22 April)!
To celebrate both occasions, we’ve rounded up a list of plant-based restaurants in Hong Kong where you can enjoy a delicious planet-friendly meal – on Earth Day and beyond:
Veggie4Love
One of our absolute favourite plant-based restaurants in Hong Kong is Veggie4Love (formerly VeggieSF). The San Francisco-styled diner has kept most of the menu in tact, with a few new exciting additions as well with a more Asian slant. Come for the amazing appetisers (think Peking duck, chick’n nuggets and spicy Korean skewers), stacked vegan burgers, laksa curries, ‘soi nam’ chicken rice, salads and of course, desserts!

Years
Proving vegan food can be hip AF, Years is the place to go for a colourful, nutritious, IG-friendly meal with locations in Sham Shui Po, Hung Hom, Tsuen Wan and more. Our top picks include the tonkatsu curry made with Omnipork, Impossible bolognese spaghetti and extra crispy yam fries.
Years, multiple locations across Hong Kong
Miss Lee Hong Kong
To celebrate the re-opening of Hong Kong, Miss Lee has launched a new afternoon tea set with picture-perfect plant-based treats, including a sweet corn and mango spring roll, longan jelly and black sesame roll. Their evening menu remains tempting, as usual, with delicious takes on Chinese dishes such as sweet and sour pork (using mushrooms instead) and lettuce wraps.

Root Vegan
Central-based vegan eatery, Root Vegan, has been busy during the fifth wave creating new plant-based goodies for us to enjoy, including bagels and all sorts of cakes! Give them a visit to see what’s new – our top pick has to be their red curry veggie bowl with baby corn and tempeh.

Big Dill
If you’re craving burgers, fries and shakes this Earth Day 2022, make your way to Big Dill in Sai Ying Pun for all that and more. We’re talking dairy-free milkshakes, donuts, mac n’ cheese and more – the perfect items to indulge in to support the planet.

Green Common
Besides launching their all-new weekend semi-buffet brunch (a must-try!) in mid-April, Green Common Nexxus is the perfect place to return to now that the restrictions are being lifted.
Some of our favourite dishes include the OmniTuna nachos, Lolli-Omnipork in sweet and sour sauce and amazing Smoked Wellington made with Omnipork as well.
